Aadeshwar Academy Jagdalpur

Rays of girls’ education emerged with the commencement of Mata Rukmani Sewa Sansthan Jagdalpur in 1976 by Padmshree Dharmpal Saini in Bastar taking

inspiration from Acharya Vinobha Bhave.

When such attempt was galvanized into modern technique, Aadeshwar Academy came in to being. It was established on 21 June 2006.

The Historical day of the Grand Opening:

I still remember that there was torrential rain on June 20, 2006 and people noticed VIP vehicles of the top-brass political leaders and officials were rushing towards Halba Kachora the next day. The officials were all set to welcome the then-chief minister of the state Dr. Raman Singh who was arriving to inaugurate an educational institute i.e. an academy which later came to be known as Aadeshwar Academy

Inaugurating a school by the

dignitaries like CM was not in practice those days that’s why it was taken as big event. With that, Jagdalpur had a school with difference which advocated education without home work and bags (sachet). It often says “ NO bags NO Home-work concept.

True to the statement made by the scholars of the region “ Aadeshwar had created a history on the day. Believe it or not Aadeshwar had changed the traditional conception of the school education prevailing during the period. While addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mahendra Karma popularly known as Bastar Tiger said-“Students in Bastar don’t have to move out of the town for better education on the contrary, outsider would come to

Aadeshwar kid
Bastar for a world-class quality education.” His statement that was made in public later turned out to be true. Now the Adeshwar has students from Dantewada,Bijapur, Kondagaun,Sukma, Malkangiri, Jayore, Vishakhapattanam etc.  Let’s trace out some of the feature of the school which made it a unique one.

Other schools were known for traditional teaching; it is Aadeshwar that emphasized overall development of the children. It applied certain measures in its curriculum. Some of  them are excerpts:

Smart Class

Unlike traditional classes of the other schools, Aadeshwar Academy was the first to introduce smart class in every class room with a view to visualize what the student learns. Soon after that, others also started taking up smart class in their curriculum. As a result of which smart class is quite common today in various schools. Unfortunately, the most of them have structures look exactly like a tree without leaves or a body without soul.

Highest salary package

Aadeshwar provides higher salary package to its teaching and non-teaching staff than others. The staff is from metro cities. It has been observing for the past 14 years.

The alumni of the school are riding the crest of the success today across the globe. I take the names of Mr. Saad Memon and Ayush Parekh who made headway towards as an entrepreneur or scientist.

Saad Memon came into limelight when he made a super computer in the country and became a part of technical revolution. He is now in Andrews University in London. The Swis government has sponsored him because of his extraordinary contribution. Likewise Ayush Parekh has made his present felt in the business arena and getting on well as the youngest business tycoon. Aadeshwar is churning out extraordinary talents by each passing years.

Un matched infrastructure

It is located about 5 km away from the main city and sprawled over 17 acres of land. It is equipped with highly sophisticated amenities with modern kitchen in the hostels meant for both boys and girls separately.

trained culinary staff

A well trained culinary staff consisting of 20 in number prepares meal to the taste of the students studying here. As the students are from different areas of the region they are served to their taste. The most important part of it is that meals are vegetarian in toto which consists of seasonal fruits, juice, vegetables and milk compulsory.

Let’s get into the academic part of it to discover the well equipped laboratory for all science viz –a-viz physics, chemistry and biology. It has a modern library that affords thousands of books and information.

30 students in a class

Aadeshwar always emphasizes quality rather than quantity. It strictly follows CBSE guideline that says there should be 30 students in a class. Thus, total number of the student in a classroom neither exceeds more than 30 nor Aadeshwar encourages it. More than 30 students will not be able to create healthy atmosphere of learning and teaching.

Classrooms at Aadeswar are furnished with ergonomic furniture which provide ample of comforts while studying.

Aadeshwar Academy Jagdalpur had started mathematics lab which enable students to understand maths and do sums easily.

School Cinema is one of the innovative practices which Aadeshwar had started during its inception through which the students enjoy the various movies made based on education and learning. It organizes film festivals too inviting other to participate to gain knowledge.

After education it is compulsory for every student to participate in sports activity as their interest at Aadeshwar. Well-trained sports teacher and coach guide them as their interest arises. Many of the students of Aadehwar have bagged many prizes in various competition held across the region at state and national level.  The showcase with numerous shields and medals placed right in-front of school office is the testimony of that.

Aadeshwar serves as a training centre for those who are associated with it. However, they are not part of it now but implementing those ideas in various sectors which they had learnt from it.
